Living By the Sea { Surfside, SC } part 2
January 21, 2011
It’s Friday! And I know many of you can’t wait to get to the weekend. And so I will keep this post very short. As many of you know from following LBSP on facebook, I have begun a new series of fine art photographs and have been steadily adding them to the shop. And I thought I would share with you a new series from this collection to start your weekend off right…

Have a great weekend everyone!
{ Charleston, SC } Day Trip Photographs
January 17, 2011
I think I am in love ! – With the city of Charleston that is ! Huge antebellum houses made of brick, big front porches with huge windows to let the bay breeze in, wrought iron fencing and well maintained lawns everywhere. There were horse drawn carriages, people running, biking and walking dogs. A day trip was just not enough time to explore all the special little places around this city. With so many cool little alleyways, graveyards and hidden gardens to photograph in, I am already making plans to visit again soon! So I thought I would share with you just a little taste of Charles town:

There were doorways… everywhere … to shops, to homes and apartments, to gated backyards and secret gardens…
Old brick work, iron work and new life sprouting everywhere…

Brienne & Nick’s Waterfall Wedding {Claymont, Delaware}
December 16, 2010
Have I ever mentioned that I have some of the most beautiful brides?! (And the grooms are quite fetching too!) I mean seriously – every bride that I work with is fantastic and very photogenic! This wedding was no exception. I was so excited for Brienne when I found out that her and Nick were getting married. And now that the wedding day has past, I can admit that I was secretly hoping that Brie would ask me to photograph her wedding. I just knew she would be a stunning bride. And well – see for yourself …
G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!
Nick & Brienne were married at the Waterfall Conference Center in Claymont, Delaware . Yes! Delaware! And it was my pleasure to travel all the way there. It was just a lovely fall day to be married. I only wish I had a whole hour to spend just photographing the two of them.
And the wedding party … If anyone could have friends like these, they would only be so lucky! They were so much fun to be around. During the reception toasts – we were laughing and crying and laughing again! What a great group of people!
Love is found in some of the most interesting places. And Yes! that includes facebook. When Brienne moved to Delaware, Nick was a suggested friend. A year and a half later he is her husband !

Congratulations to Brienne & Nick!! You are both so lucky to have found each other! I really am so happy for you!

Living By The Sea { Myrtle Beach, SC }
December 7, 2010
I love the ocean! (And yes I know I do not take advantage of the beach everyday like I should. I am also not tan like someone who looks like they live by the sea and I admit I am a wimp about the actual water when it is colder then bath water.) But I love the sand between my toes, the sound of the sea birds and waves crashing. And since I was little I am a collector of things found on the beach (even my dog, Kaysea) And I especially love seashells!
This is a great time of year to collect such wonderful little finds along the east coast. And since it is also the time of year dogs are allowed on the beach, I took my four-legged friends on a shell hunt yesterday. And I would have to say that Shayla wins the award for most interesting of finds. Among her awesome shell collection, she found coral, jelly fish (that she tried to roll in), crab shells, a a horseshoe crab (that she tried to eat) and a broken starfish. So instead of just letting her wonderful finds just sit in a jar on a dusty shelf, I thought I would share them with everyone. And even though more then a few of you are covered in a blanket of snow – here is a bit of living by the sea that I can share with all of you.

These shell images and more will be available in the Etsy Shop tomorrow!

Pam & Dave’s Coronado Wedding at Candela’s
November 18, 2010
I know that Pam has been watching over the Blog for weeks, just waiting for more photos from her wedding day. The time has finally come for me to finally share a few of my favorite images (65 to be exact!). I am so happy to share these images with all of you! And I am so pleased to have been chosen to photograph Pam & Dave’s destination wedding in San Diego. I remember what seems like only a few months ago, Pam announcing her engagement to Dave on facebook. And for those of you who do not know, Pam and I go way back – all the way back to the high school track team at Palisades High School. When I heard about their engagement I was so happy for Pam. And then she mentioned her & Dave were thinking about a destination wedding. And what better place to get married then in San Diego!!! And with a little help from wedding colleague/coordinator/planner and friend, Jacquelyn (at San Diego Destination Weddings) – Pam and Dave picked a date & me! to be their photographer! And what a great day! And I could not be happier for Pam and Dave! Ok so enough babbling from me – on to the reason you are here- wedding images!!

Photos of the guys taken by my second shooter, Tuan, from I Am Tuanahn

It was so great to have been a part of Pam & Dave’s wedding day. Congratulations to both of you!!! I wish you a beautiful future together! (And hopefully another session on your turf in the near future
