Shadow & His Friends

   Some of you may know that I traveled to PA for the holidays.  And while visiting I had the opportunity to photograph a friend of mine, Shadow.  Shad, as he is known to his close friends, is a very wise & active 7 year-old standard poodle.  He hangs with a crew of up to 5 dogs in the neighborhood & with all his smarts – he is definitely the leader of his pack.   So one day I was invited to hang with Shadow, his best friend, Bailey & Bailey’s “brother” Jackson. Shadow didn’t seem to mind me tagging with him & the Boys. And quickly became a fan of the camera (I also stole his favorite ball & put it in my pocket  to get his attention when I needed it. ) But I had fun photographing all the dogs.  Check out a few of my favorites below.  To view more: Just click on the last image in this series.

Allison’s Baby Bump 12/20/08

     This was a was a fantastic session!  It was a little chilly when I met up with Allison, her husband, Ian & their little girl Isabella alittle before sunset at Wind & Sea Beach in La Jolla.  This is such a great location that always looks different everytime I’m there.  The sunset was just the right amount of color. And with three very photogenic subjects how could things go wrong. Allison looks fantastic with her due date only a few short weeks away.  And of course Isabella is just as cute as a button- ask her where baby brother, Sean is & she looks right at Allison’s bump. And not to forget dad – who lights up at the mention of his soon -to-be-here baby boy. 

     I feel so fortunate to have been chosen to document this growing family.  Thanks again!  And Congratulations to Allison, Ian & little Isabella on their new bundle of joy – about to arrive in a few weeks.  I can’t wait to photograph little baby Sean! 

 

 

Happy New Year!! Welcome 2009!

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I am so excited about this new year! There are so many fantastic new things happening this year I’m not even sure where to begin . . . 

OK so first & foremost, if you haven’t already seen – we have a new logo:

We just wanted to freshen up the old one!

And of course what better way to showcase this new logo but to add a fabulous new look to www.laurabscott.com   I welcome any feedback about the new site.  So feel free to visit & shoot me an email with all your thoughts.  Some of you may even notice a few images from your own event! 

Also for this year you may notice a small increase in investment packages.  Try not to be too alarmed. This small increase will allow us to offer even better service & product options.  And speaking of which . . . I would also like to announce our new partnership with Finao Albums (www.finaoonline.com).  This is an extremely creative & cutting edge album company with a limitless number of options to truly customize your albums as a one-of-a-kind.   This includes magazine style albums & for those who like a more traditional feel – matted albums.  And of course we will continue to offer less expensive Asukabook Albums (www.asukabook.com)
