OB Kite Festival & Craft Fair 3/7/09

Hi Everyone!  I am happy to announce that I have signed up to be a part of the OB Kite Festival Craft Fair.  The event is next Saturday, March 7th 2009 in Ocean Beach at the Recreation Center and Ocean Beach Elementary School (4726 Santa Monica Avenue at Sunset Cliffs Blvd.)  I will have a booth at the Arts & Crafts Section of this festival.  I think this is a great way to celebrate spring right around the corner.  There is kite making for kids & even a parade.  Along with displaying my fine art for sale, I will also have a photo booth set up.  This is not your ordinary photo booth either.  I recently bought this great chair – and I’d love to see how creative each person can get with it in our booth. All booth images will be available for preview & purchase online.  I can’t wait to see you there!

Here is the time schedule:

Kite Festival: 9 AM to 2 PM 
Craft fair: 9 AM to 4 PM 
Kite making is available anytime between 9 AM and 12:30 PM 
Kite judging: 1:00 PM 
Parade: 2 PM

Lynnette’s Baby Bump

Last weekend I met up with Sean Schofield to photograph Lynnette, her husband, Larry & her baby bump.  Due in about 2 months, she looks fantastic!  And what a fun shoot!  We went to a little spot in Hillcrest, walked acrossed a bridge (a little north of Balboa Park)  & found this beautiful spot with all this lush greenery – thanks to all that rain we had a few weeks ago.  We were able to shoot with all natural light.  What a great spot – and such a fun & sweet  couple.   Can’t wait to meet their little baby boy!

Laura & Brian’s Wedding 2/15/09

I had the pleasure of working with portrait photographer Michele Ehlers last weekend on Laura & Brian’s wedding.  The wedding was great – the rain held off to give us some great overcast light.  We met them at the Sheraton downtown, headed to Balboa Park & then on to the ceremony & reception at El Cortez.

And one day they met & fell in love . . .

And decided to celebrate that love with all their friends & family . . .

 And they were so happy for Laura & Brian . . .

And their love grew . . .

So they decided to get married . . .

And Laura was a stunning bride . . .

And so they celebrated into the night . . .

I wish them a beautiful future together!

Andrea & Ronald’s Valentine’s Day Wedding

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day – then with a wedding!   And the happiness & excitement could definitely be felt between Andrea & Ronald.  And even though everyone was a little cold – it was a beautiful sunset ceremony in Scripps Park in La Jolla. CA.   A special thanks again to Jacquelyn & her crew from San Diego Destinations Weddings.

Andrea was just so cute!  I think Ronald was blown away with his beautiful bride.  He couldn’t have looked any happier!

Because the ceremony was at sunset we worked against the fading sun to take some great photos.  This was actually how dark it was right after we finished shooting.  What a challenge!  And what a nice sunset!

Amanda & David’s Wedding 2/7/09 La Jolla, CA

What a great couple!  Amanda & David were married in La Jolla, CA at a great little restaurant along the cove called Trattoria Acqua.  Here are just a few of my favorites!

Erin & Todd’s Wedding Day

What a fantastic couple!  It’s so great to see two people who seem to fit together so well.  And a little gloomy weather wasn’t going to ruin anything.  Right before the ceremony was about to start – the sun burst out of the clouds.  What perfect timing! They were married Jan 24th at the Bay View Restaurant in Loma Portal.  This was my first time photographing at this location.  Here are a few of my favorites:
