Ok so I am still getting caught up  with this month’s images… almost there.

So here is Mike & his wife, Elizabeth! Other than the May grey, this ceremony went off without a hitch!  After enjoying a relaxing morning, Liz & Mike met  on South Beach in Coronado to say, “I Do”. This joyous event was organized by coordinator, Jacquelyn Mendoza of Carefree Events.

Julie & Andrew 5/9/09

May 28, 2009

Ok so I have fallen a little behind on my blog recently… but I have some fantastic couples to tell you about. So to get started … here are Julie & Andrew! Just married on May 9th!  This was such a sweet little ceremony on South Beach in Coronado with close friends and family. Andrew and Julie are such a nice compliment to each other. Julie was all smiles and a few tears of joy.  And Andrew was all about his beautiful bride.  It was a real pleasure to be a part of their wedding day. I hope these images will take them back to this special moment each time they see them.

They rented this really cool antique car from Haynes Chauffering at  www.lancedurant.com   .

And their reception was followed by a very yummy italian dinner and some dancing at Old Venice Restaurant  in Point Loma.  www.oldvenicerestaurant.com

OK so a few post ago I talked about my 3 wedding weekend – not something I usually do. But I’m glad I did!  Meet Lauren & Peter!  They were married at the Sheraton on Harbor Island.  Lauren’s room was a great place to get some before images of her and the girls.  Their ceremony was in this little private garden that the Sheraton has next to where the boats are docked.  This was a beautiful and very simple ceremony filled with family and close friends … congratulations Lauren & Peter!

Walk For Hope 2009

May 12, 2009

This past weekend I volunteered my services for the City of Hope’s Breast Cancer Walk.  It was great to see so many people come out to raise money  in the fight against breast cancer.  This is a cause that is dear to me. It’s great to see so many people supporting each other to find a cure.

You all may even recognize the event’s MC’s as San Diego’s own –  Geena the Latina from 93.3 and Ruben from CW6 news.

So many walkers showed up in support!  . . .

Even quite a few four-legged friends came out in support .  Too cute!

Special thanks to volunteers!  These were the Girl Scouts from Troop  #3239, cheering on the walkers.

Keeping it Local

May 8, 2009

So I had a recent Portrait Session with Heather & Shane (last blog entry) .  And I was a little early for our session so I thought I would start shooting anyway.  So here are just a few images from around the neighborhood . . . well at least  a block of the neighborhood. And then check out Heather & Shane’s Engagement Session afterwards (if you haven’t already).

I finally had another chance to have an Engagement Session in OB! It’s hard to find a couple willing to venture into the . . . let’s just say eclectic neighborhood of Ocean Beach.  It’s not that scary here – really – just a hippy town with it’s own set of charm .  And it turns out that OB is Shane’s old stomping ground and Heather’s favorite beach in SD.

I had such a great time with them!  What a great couple!  I don’t think they know how to take a bad photo!  See for yourself!

I can’t wait until their wedding day in September!  I will be sure to keep you updated!

Hi Everyone!  I just got a call that a spot was available for me at the Art Walk being held at the Flower Hill Promenade in Del Mar.   I’m excited and a little nervous!  I don’t have much information about it but here’s the link if your interested in attending:  http://www.flowerhill.com/promotions.html

The hours are 12-5pm. It’s free to attend and there is music and food.  So if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon . . . stop by!  It’s easy to get to. Just take the Via de la Valle Exit East.  It’s your first left – can’t miss is! I would love to see you there!

Cristina & Harvey

May 7, 2009

OK so last entry I talked about the 3 couples I had the pleasure of photographing with Jacquelyn from SDDW.  Now I would like to introduce you to my second couple, Cristina & Harvey!  They had some family visiting from out of town for another special event and decided to add their wedding to the itinerary.  And what a great ceremony!  Harvey looked so handsome … and was that a tear of joy I saw? He was so happy to be marrying the love of his life.  Cristina looked amazing!  Well you don’t need me to tell you . . . see for yourself.

Hi Everyone!  Jacquelyn from San Diego Destination Weddings hooked me up the other weekend with 3 different wedding ceremonies . . . couples from out of town, who wanted to get married in San Diego but are on a tight budget.  So without further ado   . . .  Introducing as man & wife! My first couple, Michelle & Craig from Arizona!  They were married at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse.  I was only there for the ceremony & some photos afterwards. I decided to make the most of my time with them along the bay.  And there was a great little patch of bamboo right there.  The light was great inside the bamboo and the bay had a few sailboats meandering along the coast that I couldn’t help but capture.
