Time to post my most recent couple, Holly and Brian to be wed this fall.  After an unfortunate postponement due to awful dreary weather (And yes! to those of  you east coasters – San Diego does have gloomy days.) we finally met up at Wind and Sea beach for a great session.  They claimed they were both nervous but if you look at the images below you can never tell.  They are naturally such a nice fit together that it just made my job so easy. I’m really looking forward to their wedding day… so stay tuned for more of Holly and Brian!

Danyel & Chris at Wind and Sea Beach

These two are such a nice compliment to each other!  Worried about the weather … this couple trekked it down from LA for the weekend to finalize more of their August 15th wedding day plans.  But as they say in SoCal, ‘no worries’. We had a fantastic skyline, as you are about to see, at one of my favorite (and somewhat hidden to nonresidents) beach – Wind and Sea.   This beach is ever changing from one day to the next.  You can really get a glimpse into the power of how the ocean can really shape the beach.  Some days the beach is barely there – and climbing along the rocks is a must.   But for Sunday’s session, the waves have sculpted the sand away from it’s rock formations .  - Rocks by the way I have never seen before now.  So check out Chris & Danyel (and her natural wind-blown hollywood hair)

Melissa & Tyson Tie the Knot!

I had the pleasure last weekend to work with photographer &  good friend, Sean Schofield of  SeanLoringSchofield.com  It’s been awhile since we photographed a wedding together – but as usual the time flew by.  So without further ado, let me introduce you to bride, Melissa & her husband, Tyson.  What a photogenic couple!  Th wedding event took place at the Grand Tradition – the food was yummy, the music was great and the guests were a blast!

Visit to the Wild Animal Park

I had a chance to visit the Wild Animal Park for a few hours when I was in Escondido at the beginning of this month. So I thought I would share a few of my favorite shots.

I finally had another chance to have an Engagement Session in OB! It’s hard to find a couple willing to venture into the . . . let’s just say eclectic neighborhood of Ocean Beach.  It’s not that scary here – really – just a hippy town with it’s own set of charm .  And it turns out that OB is Shane’s old stomping ground and Heather’s favorite beach in SD.

I had such a great time with them!  What a great couple!  I don’t think they know how to take a bad photo!  See for yourself!

I can’t wait until their wedding day in September!  I will be sure to keep you updated!

Congratulations you crazy kids! Stephanie & Jason got engaged!  On one romantic night Jason & Stephanie stole away to the beach with a bottle of wine. Jason popped the question. Stephanie said ‘Yes!’  And the best is yet to come.  I can only imagine that their families in Michigan didn’t mind waking up to their fantastic news in the middle of the night!

Stephanie & Jason – although they are no strangers to each other -were soo nervous for their first official photo shoot as an engaged couple. But they had nothing to fear . . . I promised I wouldn’t bite. And they seemed to relax a bit more.  So we decided to start off with a little romance . .

Jennifer & Jeremy

April 10, 2009

What a great session!!   I had so much fun with Jennifer & Jeremy!  These two have such nice chemistry together. (They are actually an eHarmony match! So maybe we will see them in a commercial someday.) Jennifer has a fantastic laugh & Jeremy was such a good sport – and did everything I asked to get a good image.  And of course Wind & Sea beach is such a great spot for an engagement shoot.  Everytime I go there it looks a little different depending on the tides.  There were so many good little spots. I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites.  So I decided to post them all. I can’t wait until their wedding up in Malibu!  Their location is going to be so beautiful.  I won’t tell you where it is yet but you can visit their wedding website at www.mywedding.com/kissatree  to find more information about their story & their wedding day plans.

This was a great session! Leisa & Malcolm are such a unique couple – very sweet together. Leisa is even leaving sunny San Diego to move all the way to England to be with Malcolm – what a journey these two will have!

We walked ALL over Balboa Park . . .

sat in the Rose Gardens . . .

over the bridge . . .

and past the roots . . .

into the arched walkways . . .

And they even skipped a little . . .

And that’s how he knew he was in love . . .

Ok So I’ve been crazy busy lately & have fallen extremely far behind on my blogging (a whole month!)- so I’m going to try to get caught up at least for July.  Here are a few photos from Kim & David’s engagement session They were both a little shy at first- but if you know me . . .

I had them hiking all over the beach on Coronado’s military base . . .

I recently met Kim & Noe from Las Vegas, NV – here in Ocean Beach for an engagement session.  They are such a nice couple! Unfortunately the weather was a little cold & gloomy but we made the most of it!  Here are a few images I thought I would share with you . . .

And look I forward to their wedding in May! (And I will be sure to post more of this couple then!)

Sandy & TJ’s engagement session was soo much fun!  What a great couple!  I am really looking forward to their wedding day!  Here are a few photos from their engagement session at Sunset Cliffs. And if you’re thinking I selected this area  because it’s close to where I live – this is actually one of the first places TJ took Sandy when they started dating.   We managed to stay dry on this session. (Although I hear it was a different story the first time they were there:)  And I learned about the green flash. Apparently this can be seen & very hard to photograph, during a clear sky, right as the sun sets on the west coast. I missed it – but they saw it while on the shoot.  You learn something new everyday!

Oh right – photos . . . here they are:

Ok so I am a bad blogger!  I just don’t know how everyone else keeps up with theirs.  I think I’m at least two weeks late on the last few.  But I am posting any way :)

Nichole & Jonny’s engagement session was so much fun!  I even convinced them to get a little wet – for the sake of art of course.  And this was actually the first time we met in person.  They are coming all the way from Minnesota for their wedding, June 27th.  And this was the only chance we had to meet before then.  So we chose Balboa Park.  Here are just a few on my favorite images from their session:

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day!
