Fall in Philadelphia Between the Raindrops
November 3, 2009
Some things never change – including Philadelphia in the fall. Everyone was bundled in their latest scarves and trendy boots hustling to the next designer shop or restaurant. It was great to be in my old neighborhood! I only had a few hours downtown last Sunday – did some shopping, bought a fantastic pair of pink shoes! for the upcoming group art show on December 5th. And then we met up with my brother, Adam & his girlfriend, Dena at a little whiskey bar a few blocks from Rittenhouse Square for some fantastic appetizers and pulled pork sandwiches – yum I am hungry just thinking about them. I snapped a few images along the way & thought I would share some with all of you. I hope to get back again in December – no rain please!

Fall Colors in Pennsylvania
November 2, 2009
Nothing like a trip back to PA to enjoy a visit with family, old friends, my four-legged pals, fall leaves – and rain! But there were a few days of sun, so I snuck in some time for a walk through the fall leaves & a trip to my old stomping grounds in center city Philly .

It was great to see everyone! I can’t wait until the holidays to catch up with some more of my old friends and see my family again! Road trip with my dad this time! So stay tuned!
Happiness with four paws
September 7, 2009
I was in the yard enjoying the last little bit of light after sunset with my puppies and I couldn’t help but realize how happy both my dogs have been lately. And so I whipped out my camera that is locked and loaded right near the door and snapped a couple of images to show you what I am talking about …

If these don’t seem like two happy dogs I just don’t know what happiness looks like.
And here is just a few other images.

Summer Guests
August 14, 2009
I love the beauty I find in the world of the small. There is so much around us that goes unnoticed simply because its tiny and we don’t take the time. So I took a few moments to capture a little visitor in my garden.

This is a shot of Shayla the day after her surgery – she has her bandage off already! She’s a trooper! And Kaysea – my little side kick. Although she ditched me while her Nauni was visiting! And below are the ‘rents … while they came out for my birthday.

And my B-day photos are coming soon … I promise mom!
Flashback to the 80’s
August 11, 2009
Happy Birthday Jacquelyn!
A few weeks ago I was invited to celebrate my friend (and wedding coordinator), Jacquelyn Mendoza’s Birthday bash … 80’s theme. I couldn’t help but to bring my camera along. And I am glad I did! I forgot how crazy the accessories were back then …. remember when …. jelly bracelets, side ponytails tied with scrunchies, B.U.M equipment t-shirts, leg warmers, and lets not forget mullets. … This was such a great party! I thought I’d share a few pics to inspire others to let their 80’s funk fly every once in awhile.

Happy Birthday! Hope you have another fantastic year & many more to come!
Wow … does time fly by!

And I have quite a bit of things to catch all of you up with….. weddings, my birthday surprises, some new macro work, and a more! I will work to get everything online in the next few days….

Danyel & Chris at Wind and Sea Beach
These two are such a nice compliment to each other! Worried about the weather … this couple trekked it down from LA for the weekend to finalize more of their August 15th wedding day plans. But as they say in SoCal, ‘no worries’. We had a fantastic skyline, as you are about to see, at one of my favorite (and somewhat hidden to nonresidents) beach – Wind and Sea. This beach is ever changing from one day to the next. You can really get a glimpse into the power of how the ocean can really shape the beach. Some days the beach is barely there – and climbing along the rocks is a must. But for Sunday’s session, the waves have sculpted the sand away from it’s rock formations . - Rocks by the way I have never seen before now. So check out Chris & Danyel (and her natural wind-blown hollywood hair)

Melissa & Tyson Tie the Knot!
I had the pleasure last weekend to work with photographer & good friend, Sean Schofield of SeanLoringSchofield.com It’s been awhile since we photographed a wedding together – but as usual the time flew by. So without further ado, let me introduce you to bride, Melissa & her husband, Tyson. What a photogenic couple! Th wedding event took place at the Grand Tradition – the food was yummy, the music was great and the guests were a blast!

Special hello to florist – Alison of Alison’s Artistic Floral. It has been over a year since Alison & I have a had a chance to work together again. Her business has grown so much in that short time – from just Alison to a whole staff of helpers. More information about this vendor can be seen at www.alisonsartisticfloral.com
Visit to the Wild Animal Park
I had a chance to visit the Wild Animal Park for a few hours when I was in Escondido at the beginning of this month. So I thought I would share a few of my favorite shots.

Ralph the Cat
I just love this photo of Ralph so I thought I’d share.

Walk For Hope 2009
May 12, 2009
This past weekend I volunteered my services for the City of Hope’s Breast Cancer Walk. It was great to see so many people come out to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. This is a cause that is dear to me. It’s great to see so many people supporting each other to find a cure.

You all may even recognize the event’s MC’s as San Diego’s own – Geena the Latina from 93.3 and Ruben from CW6 news.

So many walkers showed up in support! . . .

Even quite a few four-legged friends came out in support . Too cute!

Special thanks to volunteers! These were the Girl Scouts from Troop #3239, cheering on the walkers.

Survivors acknowledged

Keeping it Local
May 8, 2009
So I had a recent Portrait Session with Heather & Shane (last blog entry) . And I was a little early for our session so I thought I would start shooting anyway. So here are just a few images from around the neighborhood . . . well at least a block of the neighborhood. And then check out Heather & Shane’s Engagement Session afterwards (if you haven’t already).
