Marika & Greg at Torrey Pines

September 28, 2009

Hi Everyone – I know I am a few days late on my weekly post … but I do have some new images to show.  My good friend, Sean, asked me to help him out a few weeks ago to photograph Marika & Greg’s wedding day.  The ceremony was held at Torrey Pines & then off to a private residence for the party!

Such a cute couple! For their first dance they had a special swing dance choreographed about how they met. To kick off the party – they performed for their guests!

Sneak Peek for Heather…

September 18, 2009

This has been a crazy week filled with computer & hard drive melt downs, thousands of images to edit & paperwork & research that appears to be never ending.  I am starting to get the sense that it is time for a vacation.  But until then I have to catch up with my weddings & portrait session edits. And I am super excited about the last few weeks of shooting.  What a truly great couple – Heather & Shane ! – married 8/30/09.  (You remember their Engagement Session a few months ago). Because of some delays I have only just begun to edit their wedding day.  But I know Heather is even more excited to see her images than I am … So this is for you Heather!  I pulled a few real quick just so you can see how gorgeous you were. I promise to post more later…

So you may remember  Chris & Danyel’s Engagement Session from July … well they are officially hitched! As of 8/15/09!  Their wedding was at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad. This was my first time there but I quickly figured out the best spots for photos.  Chris was anxious to get the show on the road but was looking very handsome in his suit. And Danyel was hollywood glamour  in her long hair and pretty gown…

Happiness with four paws

September 7, 2009

I was in the yard enjoying the last little bit of light after sunset with my puppies and I couldn’t help but realize how happy both my dogs have been lately.  And so I whipped out my camera that is locked and loaded right near the door and snapped a couple of images to show you what I am talking about …

If these don’t seem like two happy dogs I just don’t know what happiness looks like.

And here is just a few other images.

Welcome to Heidi and Ken’s seaside ceremony.   They met when Ken was in China.  And after falling in much love together, they were married along the cliffs in La Jolla just south of Cuvier Park and followed by a reception in Coronado at Candela’s on the Bay.  I had alot of fun with this couple … Heidi is such a photo ham! … my kind of girl!  I really struggled to edit down the images to just a few of my favorites. So I said forget it! I will show them all !

Summer Guests

August 14, 2009

I love the beauty I find in the world of the small.  There is so much around us that goes unnoticed simply  because its  tiny and we don’t take the time.  So I took a few moments to capture a little visitor in my garden.

Flashback to the 80’s

August 11, 2009

Happy Birthday Jacquelyn!

A few weeks ago I was invited to celebrate my friend (and wedding coordinator), Jacquelyn Mendoza’s Birthday bash … 80’s theme.  I couldn’t help but to bring my camera along. And I am glad I did!  I forgot how crazy the accessories were back then …. remember when …. jelly bracelets, side ponytails tied with scrunchies, B.U.M equipment t-shirts, leg warmers, and lets not forget mullets. … This was such a great party! I thought I’d share a few pics to inspire others to let their 80’s funk fly every once in awhile.

Happy Birthday! Hope you have another fantastic year & many more to come!

Ok so in effort to get caught up on my blog I will post each event as the final edits are complete even though they may be a little out of order.

A few weeks ago  I did some second shooting for photographer, Gabby Fox, from Gabrielle Fox Photography. Tara & Joseph’s wedding was at the Torrey Pines Lodge.  It was a beautiful place to photograph.  And this event was once again coordinated by the ladies from Red Letter Days so of course every last detail was not forgotten.   Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
